چکیده

Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and rheumatoid (RA) are chronic inflammatory immune-mediated rheumatic diseases, in which cytokine dysregulation is key for pathogenesis. In terms of the specific processes involved predominantly enthesopathic inflammation synovial inflammation, PsA RA distinct disease entities. The aim present study was to investigate serum expression profiles TNF-α IL-17 two arthropathies, discussing their role context activity assessed by means DAS28-CRP, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) C-reactive protein (CRP). included 32 patients with PsA, 30 20 healthy subjects. higher levels both cytokines were measured compared controls, difference being significant, except whose concentration numerically but not significantly individuals. We also recorded a significant increase circulating versus no joint diseases. studied did show concentrations according state (DAS28- CRP < 3.2 vs. DAS28- ≥ 3.2) RA, as well association clinical laboratory parameters from correlation analyses, supporting claim that they useful markers its assessment. conclusion, clearly abundant circulation conditions arthropathies. pathways important links an active participant these types inflammation.

Elevated Serum Levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in Patients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Introduction: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is accompanied by abdominal pain and intestinal discomforts. A line of evidence shows that the immune system plays important roles in the pathogenesis of the disease. Two main cytokines directing the immune system are IL-6 and TNF-α which may play a role in the immunopathogenesis of this disease. The present study aimed at investigating the serum lev...
